Help Boaters?

McBOAT has worked diligently over the years to improve conditions and control slip rates at McKinley Marina. We act as an open line of communication with those administer the operation of the marina.

Membership Fees and Benefits

Membership dues are $25.00. This includes all issues of Waterline, general membership meetings, and social gatherings.

BoatUS has offered a group discount to our members on their annual dues to $12.50 per year! Members renewing should simply indicate McBOAT as the member organization, change the rate to $12.50, and use code GA 81177 B.
If you are a new member and might be interested, contact us and we will mail you the information with an application. Don't forget, other companies such as Southwind offer discounts to McBOAT members (20% off service work), as well. Just ask your marine service provider if they do. If not, they may start soon!

WELCOME

McBOAT is a grass roots, not-for-profit, educational organization of McKinley Marina slip tenants and other boating enthusiasts. Our goal is to work with our landlord, Milwaukee County, to improve the marina and assist our members in receiving necessary services so they have a pleasant boating experience on Lake Michigan. We pursue these goals at monthly Board of Directors meetings, which are open to all members and at 2 general membership meetings a year. We publish a bi-monthly newsletter, Waterline to inform members about marina news

We strongly encourage members to volunteer to serve as board members and to become involved in many other activities that are helpful to McBOAT and boaters. Additionally, the Board of Directors continuously monitors County government on issues that impact tenants and their access to the marina. McBOAT has worked diligently over the years to improve conditions and control slip rates at McKinley Marina.

McBOAT continually strives to work with McKinley Marina staff to support their efforts in working with boaters. Our organization has provided equipment, as well as training in boat handling to the staff to give them a better understanding of how boats dock and maneuver in the marina. We believe this not only helps the staff in their jobs, but also improves the tenant's experience at McKinley Marina.

Another mission is to promote boating safety and education on the Great Lakes and adjoining waters so members have a pleasant boating experience. Our goal is to maintain safe operation of all boats within the basin. Why not pledge your support today?
