This frigid weather has pulled many thoughts of the 2018 boating season to thoughts of just staying warm. The McBoat board has been meeting and planning along with the Marina and County Parks towards objectives for this upcoming 2018 marina tenant season at McKinley Marina.

Last Year our first ever Venetian Boat Parade drew thousands to the lakefront to watch. Due to this success of the 2017 MKE Venetian Boat Parade and some of its shortcomings we missed. This year we intend to make this bigger and better adding many new amenities. The big addition will be adding to public viewing with an extended route out of the Marina back along O’Donnell Point East along Veteran’s Park rounding back just prior to the Calatrava.

McBoat along with its partner The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center are officially calling out for dedicated boaters to become volunteers to help plan and execute the 2018 Venetian boat parade. We are assembling a “MKE Venetian Boat Parade Committee” along with people who can help with tasks from Pre-event to folks who can work the parade.

The 2018 MKE Venetian Boat Parade date is August 18th. If you and your boating friends are interested to learn more or interested in being part of our committee and volunteer group. We have a “MKE Venetian Boat Parade Committee” meeting set for Thursday January 25th at 7PM. This will be held at The Riverfront Pizzeria, 509 E Erie St, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
